Great Lakes Hospitality & Tourism Educators Conference
Friday & Saturday February 22-23, 2013
Grand Valley State University – Pew Campus

The Great Lakes Hospitality & Tourism Educators Conference is an opportunity for hospitality and tourism educators, industry professionals, and students to share applied research and teaching strategies.  Grand Valley State University will again host this excellent research conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Check out some of the research and teaching papers that have been presented at previous conferences (see below or click on Conference Proceedings)

Call for Papers

There will be three tracks this year and any hospitality or tourism related topic can be submitted.  Teaching presentations, extended research abstracts, research proposals, or the poster write-ups should not exceed 750 words.

Teaching Track
Poster or 25-minute presentation (roundtable/small group discussion or stand-up presentations)

Share with conference participants your unique approach to teaching a hospitality or tourism related topic.  Include in the description the learning objectives and the types of students that would benefit from this approach.

Applied Research Track
Poster or 25-minute stand-up presentation

A statement of purpose, brief literature review, methodology and results should be included in the extended research abstract. Research proposals or research that is still a work in progress can be submitted for possible consideration as a stand-up presentation.

Student Poster Track
Poster
Undergraduate and graduate students can submit their research, research proposal, or work in progress directly for consideration as a conference poster.  This is an excellent forum to gather additional input and feedback from other researchers.

High school students and teachers are strongly encouraged to submit in any of the three tracks.

Submission Deadline:  Friday, January 4, 2013
Papers should be submitted through www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=2013glhtec

If you do not have an Easy Chair account, you will have to create one.
Decisions will be sent out by the middle of January 2013.
